This giant shell needs a home. Can you help? Once loved, painstakingly made, now in need of a new place to call home. Inspired by March of The Mermaids & made especially for our July 15th event at Ayten Gasson Lingerie in Brighton, this lovely pink shell has a though plaster outer layer and a silky interior. Today we're offering this prop for free. Do you know a school, theatre group, mermaid or educational establishment in need of a giant, iridescent, pink shell? Perhaps you're good friends wi...

Ahoy Mermates!

WOW! What a fin-tastic day we had, we hope you did too! Thank you to everyone who took part, or came along to watch March of the Mermaids 2017. 400 of us paraded our way along Brighton seafront, all in aid of celebrating our seas and sea life and to raise funds for Surfers Against Sewage

March of the Mermaids 2017 wouldn't have been possible without the support, contribution and inspiration of the following people and organisations:

Dick Zigun and the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, Surfers Against Sewage, Surfers Against Sewage in Brighton, Hove and Shoreham, Claire Potter Design, Pier 2 Pier Beach Clean, Brighton & Hove City Council, Brighton Seafront Office, Susan Alonso, Paul Garner Monster Art, Nick from Sophisticated Mischief (10 hour DJ set, you legend!), Spike from The Disco Lovers, Honour Mission our figurehead and leader of the parade, Head Stewards Nina Garner and Jo Hedges, Mat Cook at CooktheRabbit Events, Barulho and Maracatu Cruzeiro do Sul, Cakes by Moo, Brighton Faces and EcoStardust.

With very special thanks to all of our sponsors and partners:

Gemini Print Group (our loyal print partners), the Fortune of war and The Tempest Inn for hosting our after-party, Swat Marketing Ltd for the distribution and Keith Michael Accounts Ltd for Honour's megaphone!

Not forgetting all of our lovely volunteers and helpers.

Thank you so much!

We are still counting up the collections at the moment, thank you to everyone who has donated! Either on the day or through our PayPal donate page.

We're just giving our fins a bit of rest now, but we are enjoying looking through all of your photos and will be sharing them soon! Remember, if you would like to be crowned Queen Mermaid or King Prawn 2017, post a photo of your costume in the event page (www.facebook.com/events/1724047844575456) or on Instagram and add #QueenMermaid or #KingPrawn followed by #marchofthemermaids

Thanks everyone and best fishes!
